I think these boots are a perfect balance of functionality and aesthetics. True to size, comfortable, lightweight and looks sleek. I would recommend these to others.
I've owned my PAMPA HI ORIGINALE boots for a year. I have worn them opposite a pair of original Doc Martens boots. As time passed my Pampas were the clear winner. If I wore my Pampas all day long, I would switch to the Doc Martens at night. Those boots now felt heavier and suffocating. My Pampas were the clear winner. They are comfortable, stylish, and practical. I donated my Doc Martens to charity since I now have found THE boots to wear for all my activities. You can't go wrong with PAMPA HI ORIGINALE boots or any Palladium boots. They are the best.
I've now had mine a couple weeks. They rock. These boots are what would happen if dessert combat boots and Converse hi-tops had a baby. I find them very comfortable. After more than a decade in the Army, I like that they feel like duty boots but look civilian appropriate. The soles dig into soft ground very well but tend to pack in with mud. The straight sides of the deep tread don't release mud as well as the sloped sided tread of old school combat boots. The tread pattern is simple, widely spaced which makes cleaning it out with a stick easy.
I've been wearing combat boots for nearly two decades and though I don't believe these would be approved under AR 670-1, they'd fit the bill for my wants and needs in the field. The product was much better than expected.
I have owned several pair of this brand of this brand, including some left over from the French when I was in Viet nam. I love the shoe they fit good, easy to break in and dry fast. I wear them in warm weather mainly as they are to thin for the cold weather here. if someone wants a good light shoe with ankle support for everyday wear these are great.
A big fan of the Pampa Hi so I had to get this newer version. Inside of the box it shows that the insole is an improvement over regular Palladiums. Sure they're comfortable and the logo in the tongue looks good. Get these if you want comfort and durability.
